Michael’s journey began as a kitchen cabinet installer, where he spent years meticulously fitting cabinets into countless homes across Melbourne. With each installation, he witnessed the transformative power of a well-designed kitchen – how it could elevate a space from purely functional to the heart of a home. He also saw the growing demand for quality cabinetry and the frustration homeowners faced navigating the complex world of kitchen renovations.
But Michael noticed a gap. Many companies offered either high-quality products or personalized service, but rarely both. And the idea of flatpack kitchens, while affordable, often came with compromises on quality and design flexibility.
Fueled by a desire to change this, Michael founded Kitchen Planet in 2018. His vision was clear: to provide Melbournians with access to beautiful, functional, and affordable kitchens, without sacrificing quality or personalized service.
